Trendspotting – Candy Colors Inspired Makeup

LOVAS Wesley Badanjak Inspired Makeup

There is something absolutely delicious about wicked candy colored hues when it comes to eyeshadow.

This weekend Virginie and I set out on St. Laurent here in Montreal for some of the cities hottest nightlife-inspired beauty looks only to see all too many classic smokey eyes!!!  Don’t get me wrong, a beautiful smoked-out eye is a staple when it comes to party life – but ladies, ladies, ladies… where has all the originality gone?!?

I dare you to just TRY a vibrant color as replacement for your go-to metallic grays, browns and deep purples.  Swap the muted and subtle shades for electric greens, pinks, blues and yellows (if you dare)!  Line your eyes with a great pencil that smudges out beautifully and you have something all your own (hey, you never know – maybe you will inspire other ladies to take the same rewarding risk as you)… might as well practice perfecting your summertime staple since spring/summer 2011 sported it all over the international runways…

Tip:
Use a cream eyeshadow base on your eyes or mix your eyeshadow with eye drops (great even for the most sensitive eyes) for an opaque and beautifully bright boost!

Don’t forget to highlight the inner corners of your eyes and brow bone with a luminescent highlighting mineral pigment (makes all the difference and will really open up your eyes)!!!

Keep it fresh junkies ;)
