Written by Admin2 the September 23rd, 2010 at 23:18

I told you earlier that I’ll get the chance – or I’ll work hard (!!) – to interview the guys YOU like. I’ll ask those inspiring and sexy men to share their thoughts on beauty, makeup, trends and us, ladies! We want to know what they have in mind…

So, here’s the last part of my interview with Dominick Gauthier, a former Olympian now coaching Alexandre Bilodeau and Jennifer Heil and co-founder of B2ten. If you missed the first clip, click here.

Who else would you like us to interview? Who is your male celebrity crush?

Exclusive Interview – Comedian Dini Dimakos

Written by Robyn the September 21st, 2010 at 14:22

Funny lady Dini Dimakos (known best for her comedic inputs on Much Music’s Video on Trial and Love Court) is taking Canada (not to mention the rest of the world) by storm!  With her naughty but nice approach to comedy and fresh faced honesty when it comes to beauty, she is amongst the many reasons Canadian chicks kick ass!  Catch her on facebook, follow her on twitter or straight up stalk her official site… but keep tabs on this lady, she’ll be bringin’ Canada far!

So hop in for the ride as we discover what makes this Toronto resident tick and so obsessed with pore extractions!

What does great comedy mean to you?

So many things! At the heart of it, nothing feels better to me then making someone laugh, whether it’s my best friend or a theatre filled with hundreds of people. Getting a laugh really is my purpose in this life. Well, getting a laugh and consuming the occasional cupcake.

How and when did you realize you wanted to pursue comedy professionally?

In the first grade. I was clinically shy at this point and the teacher asked me to get up in front of the class, pretend to play an instrument and count to 100. She was obviously a very vindictive woman. Anyway, I “air-banjo’d” and counted to 100 at lightening speed, never blinking once. Read more

How To Create A Classic Gothic Pinup Look!

Written by Robyn the September 15th, 2010 at 13:15

Makeup can be used to create something surrealistically natural, dramatically different and visual, or completely off-the-wall using various special-effect techniques.  It can bring out an inner identity or conceal it… change the shape of your face and bring out the best in your features.  It can also turn an absolutely ordinary Halloween costume into an effectively convincing one – the one true link that fits every puzzle piece together seamlessly.  Now if your style allows it and you feel comfortable, this tutorial will bring out your inner Gothic pinup – if it’s a bit to dramatic on the other hand, it makes a great base for a gory costume (just add the fake blood and fangs accordingly)!

In any case, have a blast trying it on for size and let me know what Halloween looks you would like me to recreate in the upcoming month!  Your wish is my command and the sky is the limit!
